"I first developed plantar fasciitis after a long illness requiring many weeks of bedrest during which my plantar fascia had not been stretched as normally occurs during walking. The prescription for cure was to stretch the fascia by rolling a tennis ball under my foot, which was awkward and hard to control. The Carpal Roller is much more stable and allows more control of the stretching process. I can bear down on the device to get more stretch and massage, which feels absolutely wonderful on tired feet! Even though the pain of the plantar fasciitis is gone now, I'll keep using the Carpal Roller, because with high arches I'm at risk for redeveloping plantar fasciitis again, and also because, frankly, the massage just feels really great on my feet! Furthermore, I have also had multiple repetitive motion injuries in the muscles and tendons of my forearms from making hundreds or thousands of fine motor movements of my fingers while operating a microscope and computer keyboard for hours a day as a pathologist. I have found the Carpal Roller to be an excellent feel-good way to massage those tired, sore forearm muscles. The theory behind the Carpal Roller for treatment of these forearm conditions is sound as I understand it, and I hope its use will reverse my repetitive injuries or at least prevent them from worsening over time. Interestingly, I have had occasional bouts of tennis elbow, but have not had a recurrence of it since using the Carpal Roller."
